Reykjavik University is a center for international teaching and research collaboration across the Atlantic.  Our objective is to bridge the gap between

The RU Open University welcomes participants from around the world in our joint excursion to excellence through powerful programs for executives, specialists and students outside traditional undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs.

The RU Open University serves individuals and the business community with a diverse range of courses featuring cutting-edge knowledge from Iceland and abroad. We place much emphasis on effective and efficient teaching methods. 

The Open University is composed of 6 units: 

• Continuous Education: Practical courses to enhance professional knowledge and skills
• Executive Education: Effective ways to strengthen operations and cultivate the abilities of leaders
• Preliminary Education: Specialized courses to bridge the gap to university studies
• Entrepreneurship Education: Business development workshops for entrepreneurs
• Prime Education: Courses for precocious and studious children
• Distance Education: Selected courses delivered through distance education
