The RU Open University has designed several programmes for specific segments of the business community.  We welcome participants from all around the world to our intense, high quality and fun events.

Several programes currently being delivered are for example:

  

Training for Universities's Didactic and Administrative Staff

 

Reykjavík University presents a brief description of courses for didacitc and administrative staff in Universities. The course's chief purpose is to stengthen participants' professional competences and to broaden their horizon by exploring how RU approaches these issues. It also encourages critical discussion about proficient methods of work in universities. 

All courses are 5 days long and consist of 20 hours teaching and 12 hours culture and excursion of Icelands's nature.

FISKUR - Executive Programme

Exploring Key Challenges in the Seafood Industry

 

The Open University at RU, in cooperation with the Icelandic seafood industry, has developed a three-week programme

which explores the key challenges facing the industry today. The programme will help participants to master the

innovative approaches required to adapt best practices to meet today's unprecedented investment challenges in the

seafood industry, successfully manage through the current downturn, and emerge better equipped to thrive in the

global economy in the long term.

FISHING MANAGEMENT

Programme for Officials in Fishing Management and Fishing Harbour Administration

 

The Open University at Reykjavík University, in co-operation with the Icelandic seafood industry, offers a five

day programme for officials in fishing management and fishing harbour administration exploring key

challenges facing the fishing industry.
